Appointment Information

What to bring to your appointment

New and current patients – Please remember to bring to your appointment:

  • Your valid Medicare, DVA, Seniors or Concession Card
  • A list of any medications or allergies or recent test results
  • New patients – Please arrive early to fill in a new patient and medical history form
  • Overseas visitors welcome – Fees apply. Claim insurance refund through your provider.

This information allows our staff to better asses your medical needs and provide you with the most appropriate medical advice and treatment.

Medicare

Longer appointments may be required if are a new patient, require a pap smear, an immunisation, mental health consultation or an incision.
Emergencies will be prioritised and our reception staff will attempt to contact you if there is any unforeseen appointment delay.

Fee Information

Fee Increase – 1st July 2023

Gap Fees – How they work:

You pay the total amount outlined in the fee column. We then process your Medicare rebate (this is the money that you can claim back from Medicare). This is done immediately onto a physical debit card. If you do not have a physical debit card, you will be provided a receipt for which you can make the claim online.

Please note – We are unable to process rebates for phone tap-and-pay.

Please be advised that whilst reception can give you an idea of what your consultation fee may be, this may change during your consultation depending on the time spent and complexity of the consultation.

Medicare Rebates

Please note – Some procedures are not covered by Medicare. Any additional charges will be discussed prior to the consultation/procedure.

Workers Compensation

For workers compensation or motor vehicle third party matters – We require your claim number to bill the relevant insurance companies.

For fees regarding Allied Health professionals, procedures and other treatments please enquire at reception or please call (02) 9189 1000.

Bulk Billing Eligibility Criteria – 6 Days

From the 1st of November 2023 the following patients and appointment types will be bulk billed:

  • Children under the age of 16
  • DVA Card Holders
  • All Concession Card Holders
  • Care Plans – Mental Health | Chronic Disease

Simple Results may be bulk billed (at doctors’ discretion) – If a result requires further action and management, a standard consultation and gap fee will apply.

On Weekdays – Appointments for a simple single issue lasting less than 6 minutes will be bulk billed (at doctors’ discretion).

Monday to Friday – Concession Fees

The following concession card holders will be charged a discounted gap fee of $17.50 on weekdays:

  • Seniors Card Holders
  • Children Under 16, DVA Card Holders and All Concession Card Holders will be bulk billed 6 days from the 1st of November 2023.

Fees & Medicare Rebates for Procedures -July 1st 2023

Gap fees for procedures apply – Please discuss fees with your doctor before scheduling an appointment. Gap fees for procedures and private billing may include, but not limited to:

  • Biopsies and excisions
  • Pre-employment medicals – Private billing as not covered by Medicare (please arrange pre-payment)
  • Commercial driver’s licence forms – Private billing as not covered by Medicare (please arrange pre-payment).

Frequently Asked Questions & Policies

To be eligible for a telehealth appointment – Patients must have had at least 1 face to face consultation with a doctor at the practice before being eligible for a telehealth appointment.

Bulk Billing criteria – On Weekdays (Monday to Friday) we are a bulk billing practice for all patients with a Medicare card.

Gap Fees – Some gap fees may apply for procedures.

If you, a friend or family member require an interpreter for your consultation, please let us know when you book your appointment – Call (02) 9189 1000.

Results will not be given out over the phone – Why?

For purposes of privacy, accuracy and confidentiality as well as medico-legal reasons, pathology and imaging results will NOT be given over the phone nor be given to any third party unless prior arrangements have been made between you and your doctor.

Please book to see your doctor or the next available doctor to discuss them.

We generally do not do home visits, however this can be discussed and booked if appropriate at a cost of $250 per home visit.

We will organise home visits on a case by case basis in special circumstances. We encourage patients to attend the clinic where we can access our full range of equipment so we can provide the best medical care and advice.

Due to confidentiality reasons – Phone calls from patients are generally not taken by the doctors during a consult due to confidentiality reasons.

Where appropriate you may leave a phone message for your doctor and they will make every effort to return your call within 24 hours.

If the matter is urgent, the doctor will take the call. In an emergency call “000”.

Walk-In Appointments – We try to accommodate walk-in patients wherever possible. Walk-In patients will be allocated to the doctor of your choice if that doctor has availability. If all doctors are fully booked the first available doctor will see you.

We take your feedback, concerns, suggestions and complaints very seriously. If you have an issue or concern regarding any aspect of our services, please feel free to contact your Doctor or our Practice Manager on (02) 9189 1000

If you feel the need to discuss the matter outside the practice, you may contact NSW Health Care Complaints Commission on (02) 9219 7444 or 1800 043 159.

We do not use email for communicating with the doctors. If you need to email photos or documents for consultation purposes, please contact the practice during opening hours on (02) 9189 1000.

If the matter is time sensitive, please call our front office team during opening hours on (02) 9189 1000.

The Health Information we collect may be collected by a number of different methods, and may include, but not limited to: medical test results, notes from consultations, Medicare details, data collected from observations and conversations with you, and details obtained from other health care providers (e.g. specialist correspondence).
